The patrons of khyentse library can access your library account online and renew the books on your account.

Log in using your user id: STAFFS: phone number/Employ id
STUDENTS: Index number
Password:clcs when you first log in and later you may chage it as you wish. However, if you cannot log in using above details you may visit library for user name and password or you may call any of the library staffs.
After logging into your account, click on your profile name and you can see the books checked out on your account with due date, and you can renew them by checking the box under renew coloumn and clicking on renew. But you must not forget that you are allowed to renew it for three time and then you need to submit the books after 3 months (for Lecturers) and 3 weeks( for Students) since renewal of books are limited to three and if it shows no options to renew, it should be understood that you have already renewed three times.
Not only you can access the online journal through the links embedded on the page but also you can search and check the availability of books you want from Khyentse library by searching the book titles in library catalog search bar. You may aslo recommend the books you wish to have in the library by filling the form embedded in your account (your purchase suggestions) and submit online to us.
You can access your personal details and may update and click submit. Your reading history and fine are also accessible where by we can maintain transparency henceforth.

Khyentse library of College of Language and Culture Studies (CLCS) is administered by a Library Secretary and seven library staff. The library came into existence on the 16th of July 1961 at WangdiTse, in Thimphu along with Rigney Lobdra, established by His Holiness the late DilgoKhentse Rinpoche, and was shifted to Taktse under Trongsa District in the year 2011. It is structured with four stored building comprises of library office, circulation desk, library main collection, short-term loan corner, references room, work station, journal corner, traditional room, processing room, silent study room and store.
Khyentse library provides all users with a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment. Library is facilitated with internet and Wi-Fi connections. Library also has webpage associated with KOHA (Integrated Library Management System), EBSCO, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), and Druk journal to access online journals. To access KOHA, login with http://library.ilcs.edu.bt/ and enter Student ID & Default numbers, to search the online catalogue and to renew holding books.
The Khyentse Library is kept open from 8:00 am till 7:00 pm on week days. On Saturday itis kept open from 9:00 AM to 1:00PM and remains closed on government holidays and on Sundays (time will change as per users).
Each user is issued a library card for circulation.Faculty can borrow seven books at a time and staff can borrow five books for a month which is renewable for another month.Student can borrow maximum of three different titled books for ten days and renewable for another ten days. The loan periods for Short-Term Loans (STL) are for five days and CDs/DVDs are loaned for a day. However, reference materials, reserve materials, and equipment are not available for proper checkouts or authorizations.
Regarding overdue fine charged Nu. 10.00 per day for faculty and staff for each book. Whereas Nu. 5.00 for students. However, damaged, lost, or non-returned penalties is that lost library items must be reported immediately. Either replace the same book or pay the purchased price plus a processing fee of Nu. 50.00 that includes transportation, barcode, 3M magnetic strip, and processing charge. The main aim of our library is to let new users to identify the facilities and services provided by the Khyentse Library and also the problems that we faced. The library act as a heart and core source of information and knowledge for the faculties, staff, and students.
